A Tour of the Alex Jeffreys Student Sites

What a journey we are all on!

There are 500 students on the first Alex Jeffreys coaching course and I don’t know how many blogs - I have started the tour and will be trying to visit at least 10 every day.

As I visit a site, I shall add it to my blogroll to contribute to this wonderful backlink trail that we are propogating all over the Internet! Please note that there is no particular order here - just the way it happens as the tour progresses.

Vince Craine is giving away a copy of CamStudio on his blog. This is available for free to Alex Jeffreys students for a few days only - so don’t waste any time heading on over there!

Alan Neath has built very successful local community sites. This has taught him the importance and value of relevant, unique, keyword rich, page content. His blog has a page rank of 2 as a result of quality of content. He is focused on helping new people take the first step to creating a new blog.

Just googled “Alex Jeffreys” and found Steve Harold in the position closest to the top! Visit his site to find out what he is doing!

Lori James has a blog called “Everything Home Biz” which provides information about free and low cost home business opportunities, marketing ideas, traffic tactics, tips, and much more.

Colin Platt is list building with Alex to support his ‘health’ web site and has useful hints and tips on his blog

Harry Harris is putting together an Alex Jeffreys Coaching Class of 2008 video. You need to go on over to his blog and leave a comment letting him know that you want to be in his video.

JT Martin is the SEO man of note

Dean Holland has a huge following of Alex Jeffreys students and was the first person, I believe, to create his own product. This ebook, his “Blog Setup Guide” is available for free on his website.

Jim Gallagher won Alex Jeffreys competition for getting the most traffic to his blog. 41,318 visits and 800 new people on his list! Yes, sirree, this man has lots to share - there is a post about everything related to IM on his blog as well as a list of links to classified sites. He has also formed a social network exclusively for Alex Jeffreys students at JV Village

Clayton Moore has a student blogroll and a very comprehensive section on plugins and widgets that he uses.

Thomas Northrop has created a social site for the students of Alex Jeffreys - naturally called “The Fortunate 500″!

Ross ‘The Boss’ Carrel - lots of twittering and education going on here - a very polished, first class site

Adam Speil covers the use of Skype, Wordpress Plug-ins, Traffic Generation methods, JV Giveaways and he also has a special offer!

Gary Simpson’s blog has loads of Hints and Tips ranging from Domain Names to Blogsite Design to setting up a Blogroll. He also has great summaries of all of the modules taught by Alex Jeffreys. Well worth the visit!

John Bullard is a newbie who has created a site full of valuable information. Go there to find out how to put an optin page on your blog. He also has an interactive process whereby you may ping your blog on a daily basis.

Hi Bev,

I think your idea of compiling a summary for all of the sites is a great idea. Maybe you could make a post about it in the F500 at http://fortunate500.ning.com/. Hopefully as we keep making posts and comments about it, people will catch on.

I think the trick will be getting people to send you their summary’s back, as it will take you a long time to go to all of the sites on your own.

You’ve got a great site here — keep up the great work! And thanks for stopping by and submitting my summary. :-)

Yes Adam, you’re so right - visiting all the sites is very interesting and informative but it will take ages to get to them all - I have posted on the F500 site so hopefully people will start adding their summaries soon. Will also post it at JV Village.

Hello Bev, thanks for visiting my blog.

I have to say this is one of the nicest I a have seen to date. Did you see the hover add and pick up my videos that show some awesome strategies and techniques to put your blog in overdrive.

Keep up the great work and I love the idea of compiling all the sites and you have put together some great links.

Gary SimpsonJanuary 18th, 2009 at 8:29 am

Hi Bev,

I saw this on Alex’s blog and was immediately taken with the brilliance of your idea.

I will come back with a summary of my blog and what I hope it will achieve at a later date. If you don’t hear from me just come and give me a nudge. I am frightfully busy with a project at the moment but I want to do this. It is a great idea and I commend you on your initiative.

Regards

Gary Simpson

PS: If you haven’t voted for Alex yet in my poll where some drongos have stated that they HATE Alex Jeffreys then please use this link to do so.

Alan NeathJanuary 18th, 2009 at 2:25 pm

Hi Bev

First i have to say thank you for the invite to post on your blog, and may i say what a lovely design too !

Your plan to create a written collection of summary notes for all the students is excellent and certainly you will need contributions, as it would be a huge task.

At present i feel my strength is based on my previous experience building very successful local community sites which i wont mention here, but it has taught me the importance and value of relevant, unique, keyword rich, page content which always seem to help me gain good page positions in Google and the associated page rank.
My http://AlanNeath.com blog is already a page rank of 2 as a result of quality of content.

I still have much more skills to learn and feel that i will be focused on helping new people take the first step to creating a new blog website, with my free guide:

http://www.alanneath.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/12/when-your-ready.pdf

Thanks Bev, best wishes and good luck !

ChristineJanuary 18th, 2009 at 3:48 pm

Hi Bev,

I read your comments on Alex’s site. I think the idea of a summary of all the sites is great. Getting round to going to everyone’s site will take a long time, I have not even found everyone yet, then there is finding the people who are still working on their sites and not given up.

I started as a newbie so I have learnt a lot but my weakness is getting traffic to the site to start a mailing list.

Good Luck
Christine

Hey Vince, Thanks for your comment and, yes, I have downloaded the wordpress videos from your site (last night, actually). Unfortunately, I have not got round to watching them yet but will do so soon!

Clayton MooreJanuary 20th, 2009 at 6:10 am

Hi Bev
1stly, very nice theme.
2ndly, thanks for stopping by my place, I added your Link.
3rdly, great idea for the eBook and I am very sympathetic of the time involved, it is no small task.
I had no idea what to start with but due to all the fuss in our group about Blogrolls, decided to go on an intensive Student hunt with many hours to date. This gave me a way to contribute to others, hopefully saving them the time it took me by offering my Student Tracking spreadsheet which is up to 321.
My main goal is to build up my content and resources in helping others with their Blogs as I learn which is no small task either with 1000’s of others already doing the same.

Apologises for not visiting your blog sooner.

I really like the simple and stylish theme you have and the connection you have created with your son’s studies.

I am also a member of the Fortunate 500.

My blog is a resource for all would-be entrepreneurs who wish to take control of their own finances, to achieve financial independence and escape the constant threat of financial struggle from uncontrollable economic change. Please check out my blog and leave a comment when you get a moment to spare.

It’s a great idea creating an e-book with everyone blogs in it.

P.S. I’ve added you to my blogroll and would appreciate being added to yours.

Richard MoloneyJanuary 25th, 2009 at 3:59 pm

Hi Bev

You have me confused! Is your name Bev Brossy or Bev Gough? I have found you under both names in other blogs with the same blog address. It may be that you have changed your name recently.

I think your idea of an ebook listing the other student blogs is a great one. My blog is at http://www.richardmoloneyblog.com and is just me, in it I post about my progress or lack of it with Alex’s program and I would be delighted to find myself in your ebook.

My latest post lists some programs that may be of use to you.

Richard

BevJanuary 25th, 2009 at 7:20 pm

Hi Richard,

Thanks for your post and sorry about the confusion with my name. I used my late husband’s surname (Gough) for my blog but all my banking details etc are in the name of Brossy. I soon discovered it would be a problem to have differing surnames! So, my name is Bev Brossy for consistency. I shall add you to my blogroll now and ebook (once 50 people have responded!) and visit your website too, of course.

Rgds, Bev

Steve HaroldJanuary 26th, 2009 at 4:07 pm

Hi Bev
Great idea. If this becomes a regular feature I can see many students checking back to your blog as a great way of catching up on the news from other students.
Very creative and impressive
Best wishes

Steve Harold

BevJanuary 26th, 2009 at 4:53 pm

Hi Steve,

Thanks - I appreciate the compliment! I would love to create a central repository as a reference point for all the students.

All the best, Bev

Gary SimpsonFebruary 2nd, 2009 at 3:58 am

Hi Bevster,

I was coming back with a little summary, as promised, and I saw you had already done one.

If it’s not too many words maybe you could say something like … “A visit to Gary’s ‘Internet Marketing Temple of Learning for Newbies’ is well worth the visit.”

I’ll leave it up to you Bev.

Regards

Gary

PS: If you haven’t seen my latest blog post on 25 deep, dark secrets about the Gazz-Man then choogle on over.

DearWebbyFebruary 8th, 2009 at 8:19 am

Hi Bev
Got you added to the list and added the comment: “Good list of active Alex Jeffrey related blogs”

My AJ related blog is at http://monetsite.com/blog/

The student list with your smiling face is at http://monetsite.com/AJ-students.html

My main blog. the one that pays for the groceries, is at http://webby.com/humor/blog
It is just clean humor and tech tips for calibrating your mood or harvesting jokes for ice breakers.

I tried to follow you on Twitter, but it seems that either they dumped
http://twitter.com/bevbrossy
or you got me blocked.

Have FUN!

BevFebruary 8th, 2009 at 10:26 am

Hi DearWebby,

Thanks so much - will definitely take a tour of your sites.
With regard to Twitter, I have emailed them a few days ago and they say it can take 7 days
to get back to me. Sometimes I can access my account, sometimes they say it doesn’t exist
and sometimes I get an invalid username/password combo.
I got in briefly yesterday and you are following me and I followed you but today it is
once again gone :( I’m thinking of just starting from scratch with a new account!

Enjoy your day!
Regards, Bev
